High quality vineyard in the Priorat region
Vineyard land with 10,000 plants of low productivity and high quality, with an approximate production of 1 kg per plant and about 8,000 bottles.
The property is located only 500 m from the town of Porrera, Priorat, Tarragona. Since 2000, the current owner took over the family lands and decided to invest in them in order to optimize the growing conditions. In this sense, he organized the estate in terraces that allowed horizontal work and vine training.
The result is several hectares of planted vines with road access, a work shed, a water mine and a 50,000 liter tank.
In addition, a flatter plot is sold, without terraces, facing south in anticipation of putting a building on it to host wine tastings and wine tourism visits.
Low-producing clones were selected to prioritize quality over quantity, and 3,500 units of Garnacha and 2,500 of Cariñena, the traditional Priorat varieties, were planted. In the shadier areas, 2,500 Cabernet and 1,500 Merlot plants were planted, which, better adapted to humidity, would also play a very important role in the final blend.
There are samples of the wine produced so far that illustrate the quality of the final product.
