Complete renovation of Irish pub in Las Ramblas
Project executed in record time!
This is an integral reform of an Irish pub known as Loomsday, located in Ramblas 21, Barcelona. Currently called Craic, which in Irish slang means “to have a good time”. The commission was given at the beginning of November 2024 and the project was delivered finished before the end of the year.
The project is one of the most fun and genuine that we have been able to realize. The truth is that the original bar was already beautiful, so the aim was to improve it. We recovered all the wooden floor, roughing it and staining it in a more natural color. The whole bar was painted in black, respecting the golden color of some details and recovering some texts of its beams. The lighting has been decisive to improve the atmosphere, by means of power regulators and low temperature lamps. The back of the bar was completely transformed into new bathrooms and a darts area. In addition, wallpaper of a new design was chosen to give more warmth and elegance to the spaces. The bar bar was also varnished in green, making reference to Ireland, aged mirrors were placed on the back of the bar's wine rack and these and the bar were illuminated with dimmable LED strips giving a more luxurious look and giving greater presence to the ornamental details of the existing wood. The roof rafters were also recovered, the entrance railing was secured and all possible defects were repaired on a fairly small budget.
