This extraordinary rehabilitation consists of the recovery of a famous modernist building on Barcelona's Gran Vía.
The floral details of the Catalan lanes, the coffered ceilings, the polychromy of the mosaics on the floors, the engravings, the cladding with vitrified ceramics, the original wooden beams, the stuccoes on the walls, the fittings on the windows all the details of this extraordinary work of art have been recovered to show its renewed beauty.
The intervention mixes all these original details with the new facilities and current design trends, with open kitchens, rooms with full bathrooms, integrated air conditioning systems, high-energy-efficient and low-consumption appliances and taps, and details typical of current trends in interior design.
The beauty of the original facade of the building with its wooden cornice, its curved railings, the supports of its balconies, topped with inverted ceramic pieces, the galleries on the main floor, the spectacular entrance to the estate with wide spaces, the central patio building, also recovered, the multi-colored stained glass windows in its galleries, the original wooden elevator shaft, are some of the details that never cease to amaze us, inside and outside this emblem of the traditional architecture of the time.
This project also highlights the communal area on its roof, with an outdoor pool that runs along the façade and a large terrace to enjoy the extraordinary views of the city and its benevolent weather.
The project has a total of 11 homes ranging between 187 and 282 square meters plus balconies and terraces. Each unit has a storage room, a remarkable fact considering that this type of building was not originally intended to offer any type of storage space.
A unique opportunity to live in one of the most famous areas of Barcelona's Ensanche.
